Dr Mark Wilson

Dr Wilson is a Specialist Pain Medicine Fellow and Sport and Exercise Physician with advanced training in ultrasound and fluoroscopy-guided interventions. His procedural expertise encompasses diagnostic and therapeutic nerve and joint blocks, radiofrequency neurotomy, and neuromodulation, including spinal cord stimulation, as well as regenerative medicine techniques, including platelet rich plasma.

He is currently completing the Faculty of Pain Medicine Procedural Endorsement Program (PEP). Dr Wilson's clinical focus includes chronic back and neck pain, hip, knee, and shoulder pain secondary to arthritis and sporting trauma, neuropathic pain, complex regional pain syndrome, and persistent post-surgical pain.

Dr Wilson advocates for precision-guided interventions to disrupt pain cycles, integrated with safe pharmacological strategies and targeted exercise prescription. His approach is delivered within a multimodal, multidisciplinary framework, anchored by the restoration of movement, function, and quality of life. Collaboration is central to achieving meaningful outcomes. A career highlight was receiving the Australian Sports Medal for his role as Team Physician with the Australian Rowing Team at the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games. Dr Wilson has also served with the Australian Olympic and Paralympic Swimming Teams and has provided consultant medical services for the NRL.
